God does hear our prayers before dinner 

    A blessed dinner 

I had company coming over and I was planning one of my favorite dishes, "Prime rib." When I got to the supermarket, the only prime ribs that were available were fifteen dollars over what I had on me. I just spent everything that day on all the fixings that go with it. As I stood there looking at the price difference that I was not expecting to pay, I began to pray silently within as I often do so only I know I am talking to God. I was asking him to help me bring home a prime rib that I had promised the guests that I was having over for dinner today. Within two minutes I was going down another aisle seeing if I could get the manager to find me a much smaller standing rib roast which is prime rib to everyone else. As I was walking towards the middle of the aisle going towards the front of the store. A man with no groceries or no shopping cart was walking towards me from the opposite end coming from the front of the store. As we walked towards each other we both said hello to each other, and then this stranger reached out his hand to shake my hand and when he did, I felt something in my hand. It was a $20.00 bill neatly folded up. He said  "God wanted to give you this". I asked this kind stranger for his name, at first he did not want to give me his name. He explained that he wanted to give all the glory to God and not himself. After much persistence on my part, he finally did give me his name. This blessing still brings a tear of joy in my eyes when I think about the perfect timing of Gods blessings. "God did not just want me to have half of the prime rib to serve my guest, He wanted me to have the largest one.

"Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust." Psalm 40:4
