If you tell God that all you want in life is a single
blessing of a million dollars. 
And your not ready to
receive it and God wants you to first take baby steps by giving you
smaller blessings to check if your ready for the big one.
Your not only going to
miss the "Lifeboat of big blessings" when it does come in, you won't
even be at the boat dock to get your feet wet to feel you even had a
chance of receiving the blessing in the first place. There's a good
chance that day you'll be stuck in traffic just trying to back out
of your driveway just to start your morning!.
