What does God say where the source of your blessings come from

   Only God is the source of all your blessings

 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above." James 1:17 


God's Word teaches us that only He is the source of every one of our blessings and favors, and most Church leaders will tell you this. We can be used by God to carry out a blessing but only God is the source of that blessing. Remember the word  "Church " is the people, not the Church building you go to. Every time and every place you glorify God your having "Church." Lets hope your having Church everyday! Remember all blessings come from God! All the glory goes to God. All of us are merely vessels to be a blessing in carrying out God's Will. 

"We felt we were doomed to die and saw how powerless we were to help ourselves; but that was good, for then we put everything into the hands of God, who alone could save us." 2 Corinthians 1:9

God's Word is the only authority that defines His Will

My heart breaks every time I hear or I read where a religious cult leader has mislead so many others by misquoting the scriptures, often resulting in the break up of their own families, including the tragedy of mass suicides. I'm reminded of the wisdom from a wonderful Pastor from many years ago. 

 He said  Michael, when ever I quote a scripture

"Don't believe me, look it up." 

"Everything comes from God alone, Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory." Romans 11:36 LB
